masthead 3 idea.

For my final idea i used a block font and coloured it black. Then used a lighter colour to outline it. It is quite retro design and would appeal to my audience as most of my readers are women and the colours are quite feminine. As the text is quite slim it looks quite elegant.

Masthead idea 2.

For my second idea i used a very light background but made it so it went dark to light. Seeings as my magazine is aimed at the younger generation I made the masthead quite simple and not to serious. The font is in black to make it stand out against everything.

Masthead idea 1.

On my first idea i chose to have a background behind my text. I made it a blue colour as its a neutral colour for both boys and girls as my magazine is aimed at both. The text is quite a light colour to make it stand out. The text itself is quite a large spaced out font so it is easy to read and bold. It would stand out against other magazines. It looks fun and makes the readers feel positive when they see it.

Flat plans for music magazine.

This is my flat plan for my cover, it has a simple layout and uses simple language for the cover stories. It has a main image of the celebrity on the front cover. The masthead is at the top left corner.

The contents page links in from the front cover by having the same celebritys picture on it. The regulars and features are seperated so they are easy to find.

The double page spread has a fun modern layout, by having the interview styled in quite a chatty way the readers can feel a more personal connection. There is a main image on the left hand side of the double page which would take up 3 1/4 of the page. The text will be in boxes so it is easy to follow. The celebritys name will be in a different colour text to make it stand out against the white background. All the colours will be light and positive.

Photoshoot ideas.

Mood board for magazine.

The images I chose for this mood board really stood out and I could use some of the ideas for inspiration. The designs of the layouts are quite simple and I like how the articles are laid out. I have used a couple of mastheads from other magazines to get design ideas for my own. I like the use of colour on some of the articles. I would like to use the idea of having young people to put into my magazine as it would appeal to the audience I am aiming for.

About music magazine.

Hype is a monthly magazine that gets the reader to be the first to know the latest chart topping singles and all the gossip coming from behind the scenes. Hype is obsessed with high street fashion and getting affordable clothing and looking good. The magazine is modern and fresh always filled with new information.  Hype's main aim is to get the readers 'having fun while their still young'! Were the best source to find things that will make you enjoy life.

Mindmap.

This is the  mind map for my music magazine which describes the contents of the magazine and the imagery that is going to be used. It also describes the style and layout.

Masthead Ideas.

For my first option I called the magazine hype, because it is a buzz word that would appeal to the younger audience my magazine is aimed at. Because I want to do up to date chart music it is an appropriate name as it keeps the audience on a 'hype'.

For my second choice I chose the name off the record because it could mean that the magazine is not just about music but also could be the gossip behind the music. This could interest the younger audience of 16-24 year old.  The colours are quite young and fresh.

For my final idea I chose the name on it. It is quite a popular saying with the younger generation (16-24) A modern slang which could attract the audience to buy it. It makes the magazine sound very up to date and knows everything you need to know.
